It’s all Str8Buttah Productions affair in the new video for summery jam “MP3,” which finds Nigerian rappers Pryse, Phlow, and Mz Kiss and singer Pasha going in over grooving production from Nigerian born producer Teck-Zilla.
The track inspired by a quote from the legendary Chuck D: “The Super emcee is the one who can spit in more than two languages.” And you can watch as Pryse, Phlow, and Mz Kiss go full-on Super emcee when they storm the track with a unique blend of English, Pidgin English, and Yoruba.
Not only is it an incredible display of their talents, but it also showcases that Hip-Hop is indeed a worldwide culture. That’s not even taking into account Pasha’s dancehall vocals on the hook and Teck’s infectious instrumental, both of which are smooth complements to the three rapper’s verses. Capturing the energy of “MP3” on film is RCube, another member of the crazy-talented Str8Buttah crew whose vision and edits bring it all together. Check out the visuals, which serves as a bonus cut off Phlow’s currently untitled new project, which is due out this year—stay tuned!
